If you are on a strict budget and you are not too keen on hiring an interior designer, you can always find inspiration by looking at different nursery pictures online. You don’t necessarily have to copy other people’s painting baby room ideas. You just want to touch base with what you visualize in your head so you can narrow down choices and decide on the overall theme and paint of the nursery and then get creative with it!

For a more modern approach, you can make use of contrasting colors to make the room stand out. Vertical stripes are great if you have a good ceiling height because it can do the trick of making the walls appear taller. Choose contemporary colors like red, yellow, lime green, orange or hot pink. It’s up to you how you would combine colors that will be perfect in a baby’s room. Use two or more colors if you please. If the color is too much for you, you can just paint one wall with it and then make the rest neutral or pastel. The possibilities are endless when it comes to painting baby room ideas!

You can also make some abstract designs on the walls or ceiling for added drama and uniqueness. Wall decals, wallpaper borders and wall appliqués will make great finishing touches for the baby’s room.

You can buy some stencils but if you want to make your own then go ahead and do so. Nothing will make you more proud than having your concepts come alive in your baby’s room. Instead of making cute little borders, you can make entire murals or place a few shapes to match the nursery’s theme. Butterflies, flowers, sunshine, clouds, the alphabet and dinosaurs are just some of the few that you can choose from. It’s completely up to you how you make the room baby-friendly and eye-catching!
