Girls Baby Room Ideas: Wall Color
Deciding on the wall color is one of the most important steps in baby room decorating. There are thousands of colors to choose from but your choice can make or break the overall look of the nursery. I know pink is the first color that popped into your head for your crib bedding and over-all nursery color, but if you don’t want your princess to have a nursery that is practically the same with everyone else’s then don’t be afraid to explore other options. There are hundreds or even thousands of girls baby room ideas abd crib bedding sets that you can find online and it’s so easy to get lost. One minute you like this color, the next minute you are totally rooting for the other one. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
-Pastel Colors
Pastel colors are no doubt the most popular choice when I read about different girls baby room ideas. If you want to adhere to tradition then go for petal pink or light purple. If you want to be a little neutral then go for pale yellow. I love this color because it spells sunshine all over the place! Pastel colors are excellent for making a room bright, not to mention they are soothing for the baby. Also, it’s not difficult at all to pair pastel-painted walls with baby items, decorations and accessories. Most of the baby items I see come in pastel colors after all!
-Contemporary Colors
If you are not a big fan of traditional colors for a baby room then go ahead and explore the color wheel! Go for bright and attractive colors like purple, orange, hot pink or red. For the first few months, your baby would only be able to see contrasting colors which means that a brightly colored room may be more stimulating. If you’re afraid you can’t pull off a brightly colored room then you can paint the walls with a neutral shade and then use bright colors for the accent. “Butterflies and Bees” is a very popular baby room theme; you can paint the butterflies, bugs, bees and insects using contemporary colors to make the room look striking.
-Stripes
If you’re tired of looking at solid color walls as I am then why not jazz it up by going for stripes? There are plenty of girls baby room ideas with stripe patterns and I’m telling you, they are too cute! Pink and green is a nice color combination and so as light purple and yellow. There are tons of color combinations to choose from and if you please, you can have 3 or 4 different colors. You can also divide your walls into two parts- the bottom part will be stripes and then the opposite part can be a solid color with stencils. It’s totally up to you!
