Make Your Own Wall Décor for Baby Room

The nursery is not the only thing that would cost you and arm and a leg with a new baby on the way, so why would you want to put all your money in there? Remember that you would also spend a great deal of money on hospital bills, regular check-ups, diapers (believe it or not this is on top of my expenses list), etc. There are several ways on how you can avoid spending too much on your baby’s room without sacrificing quality and one of which is pulling off a DIY wall décor for baby room. If you’re not that creative, don’t let this scare you. You’ll be surprised on how easy and how amazing DIY projects turn out.

Here are two of my favorite DIY projects which I hope can inspire you to get started:

-Make your own Nursery Picture Art

If you are going to buy this kind of wall décor for baby room, you can spend anywhere between $40 and $150. Who wants to spend that kind of money on something that you can do at home in minutes?

If you don’t have baby books or nursery rhymes books yet, you can go to your local library and browse through books (story books, art books, etc.). If you see a picture that will match the nursery’s overall theme, have it color copied. You can have it copied to as large as 8 ½ by 11 inches or bigger. Ask the machine operator to adjust the colors, hue and contrast if necessary. Each copy would cost about $2 or so. Now that’s dirt cheap!

You can turn the pictures into wall decorations by putting them in a picture frame. Make sure you already have the picture frames before you have the pictures printed or copied so you won’t have to worry about cutting or trimming them. You can find wooden picture frames that are as cheap as $1.50. You can stain or paint the wood to match the color scheme of the nursery.

-Fabric Embroidery Hoops

If you want a little different wall décor for baby room then maybe you may want to consider going to your local arts and crafts store and purchase embroidery hoops (they cost less than a dollar each) and different fabrics (patterned, plaid, etc.). All you have to do is get the wooden hoop and put a colorful fabric in it. That’s it! You can hang your work of art near the crib. You want to avoid putting heaving items of frames with glass for safety reasons so your fabric embroidery hoops wall décor for baby room are a perfect choice.
